About Lionel
Lionel Wiffen is recognised as one of the most established jewellery makers in London's Hatton Garden. In the past her has made a bracelet set with precious stones which won a De Beers award. This piece was later purchased by Richard Burton to give to Elizabeth Taylor. He has also made a 10ct 'Star Diamond Ring' which was bought by Ringo Star for his wife Barbara Bach, who later commissioned a wonderful necklace which cleverly converted to a tiara for dual use.
In more recent times Lionel has been commissioned to make jewellery for 'Chopard' in Bond Street including pieces for celebrities such as Elizabeth Hurley, Victoria and David Beckham, and Elton John. Lionel also made two pendants named 'Sorry' and 'Hung Up' for one of Madonna's concert tours.
The jewellery is finished by hand, and the company was one of the first to use computer aided design and rapid prototyping, enabling the most challenging pieces to be undertaken.
