About the maker
Working under the name Kleinod (german for jewel) Steffi King and Andreas Kriechbaum have developed their collection focused on stitching, embroidering, weaving and darning. Hearts, arrows. and exclamation points are 'sewn' into metal with silk thread. Pieces either feature the silk thread itself, or are cast to create the illusion of embroidered sterling silver. Kleinod's designs are pleasingly chunky, tactile and robust, with a high level of attention to detail. The couple live and work in Konstanz, Germany.
