About the Maker
Alex Monroe established his London studios in 1987 and his work now sells throughout Asia, Europe and America. Celebrity fans include Emma Watson, Sienna Miller, Carey Mulligan and Emilia Fox. Alex's love for gardening and the simple beauty of nature is apparent, with roses and wildflowers being recurrent motifs. His work takes a sentimental, tongue-in-cheek look at Englishness. Alex says about his work: "The most important thing is to maintain quality at all times. Although I am interested in fashion I hope that I am using a design language that defies time". He continues to make all of his jewellery on site at his London studio.
